Our Story: A Place to Soar on Their Own Wings

At just 12 years old, our founder, Leta—a talented autistic tap dancer—faced exclusion from her dance teachers. They believed her autism meant she was incapable, despite her talent and hard work. In response, Leta founded Autistic Wings Dance Company to create a space where every autistic dancer is welcomed, seen, and celebrated. We've grown from a handful of classes to a vibrant community, providing a safe space for dancers to train for a career or simply dance for the sheer joy of it.

Your partnership will help our dancers keep soaring on their wings, allowing their parents to focus on enjoying their child’s joy and not worrying about how to pay for classes.

    Named after one of our first dance students at Autistic Wings, "Spencer's Ribbons Brigade" celebrates Spencer's love of ribbons and helps us make sure Spencer and the rest of our dancers always have fresh ribbons.
