The original logo, designed by Courtney Kay (a teenage friend of Leta’s), this logo is full of meaning. The “AW” in a brand shape invokes that feeling of the "Old West” harkening back to when Colorado Springs was surrounded by ranches. It harkens back to a time when people were both too stubborn to give up, yet had the help of an entire community when it was needed.

The Monarch Wings are doing some heavy lifting. Monarchs are born either in Canada or Mexico. They live their early lives there until they are ready to fly. Then they take off from Canada to Mexico (or vice versa). A place they have never seen. A place no one told them how to get to. Those who had been there before are gone. Long dead. Never around to tell these butterflies where to go. Yet, monarchs make this journey across lakes, rivers, prariries, mountains, and more through land that is getting rid of what monarchs eat to “save the bees”. Just like many of our dancers, who are the first diagnosed neurodivergent person in their family. Our dancers are learning to navigate a world that’s foreign to them without a map or knowing where they are going.
